Air Corgi FAAST Team Presentation Aug 27, 2026

Dean will be presenting Common Advanced Avionics Errors at the FAAST Team meeting on August 27 at 630pm, at the SLC Training Center 1911 N 2200 W, Salt Lake City.

Brief Description:
As avionics have become more sophisticated with the evolution of the Garmin 430/530, 1000, 600, and Perspective systems, the need for an understanding of their operation, and pitfalls is warranted.
In this session the presenter will review potential operational errors regarding:

  1. NAV Sources
  2. Sequencing v. Suspend function
  3. Approach Briefings
  4. Approach Modes
  5. Flight Director – friend or foe
  6. AP and FMS Limitations

We look forward to sharing these valuable insights and your experiences with these systems.
